i LOVED Game of Thrones
this was my shit, couldnt get enough BUT
WHEN when _when will they be releasing Season 1 on DVD??!!!
i watched the episdoes as they were released but havent re-watched it
IM WAITING FOR THE DVD TO BE RELEASED
still no dates (as far as i know) for when it will be (to be honest i thought it would be out for xmas)
i know theyre filming Season 2 now so pleeeeeease give us season 1 on dvd to hold me over till then
i think im just going to have to start reading the books [which i do really want to do but ive still got 2 books im reading atm that i havent finished yet]

Two things have been stuck in my head recently... & for very different reasons

Sleeping Beauty {film}

I watched this "erotic drama" the other day as i had heard about it late last year & someone recomended it to me (knowing im a lover of surreal modern fantasy, underwear & sleep) saying i'd "love it".
I found it visually very beautiful [even in the more aggressive & sexual scenes] but i didnt connect with the characters at all (i actually found it quite slow... maybe i just wasnt paying enough attention) & ultimately didnt get what the film was on about (!!! oops!)
I wasnt really "disturbed" by the old men sex scenes as i had been lead to believe i would be... i found them more pitiful.
mmm maybe i just couldnt understand the main character ...i understood that she sold her body for money & seemed to be very disconnected from these ordeals but then why the interest to find out the unknown towards the end of the film & her reaction to it once she found out...
oh i dont know but if you have time its worth a watch & deciding for yourself i'd say

Kisarazu Cat's Eye {Japanese TV series}

Started watching it again (its been about 3years since i last watched it)
I LOVE this series (& the film ...never saw the 2nd film unfortunately)
It never fails to make me laugh ( unexpectedly ) and be very touching in its own way. The cast is perfect [ one of my favourite roles for Sakurai Sho ] theres something in this for everyone i feel. Im sure alot of people have already seen it BUT if not please do try
OR JUST REWATCH IT AGAIN LIKE ME
{ this drama also takes me back to a time when i coundnt get enough of Tsukamoto Takashi ...ahhh the memories! }



Nope i have no idea whats going on here... & if youre thinking maybe if you'd watch KCE it might make sense hahaha nooooo it wouldnt but you'd be more accepting & loving of it... look a duck!!!

its a bit sad to say but often i forget about my LJ...
i have a little form of self publication here and i feel i should use it or delete it.

so i will try and breathe some life in to it with a chronology of thoughts before i give up & put it down for good ^..^




Graffiti
when you think of self publication and subversion you think GRAFFITI (& Punk, but i wont be going in to that right now)

a stolen hospital sign & paint (which was then spilt) from a drunken evening is not an attempt at freedom of speech or self publication but when i saw it in a kitchen it reminded me of "ZEVS" & his attempt at self advertising in Hong Kong that turned out a bit costly!

the French Graffiti artist was arrested & put in jail to await trail for defacing the side of a [ www.emporioarmani.com/ ] shop.




he painted the [ www.chanel.com/ ] Logo on the Armani wall to promote the opening of one of his shows the next day...

this proposed criticism & rejection of modern culture (& lets not forget publicity stunt to draw in the crowds) ended up costing him with the Chinese law enforcement, getting a suspended sentance & forced to clean the wall (& the shop owner suing for 3.4 million HK$!!!).

but the whole thing managed to bring awareness & debate to ZEVS work...

no publicity is bad publicity??!

but ZEVS says he wont be working in Hong Kong again!

the people renting the kitchen in the photo at the top were threatened by the landlord with criminal damage (the paint on the floor)
like ZEVS they had to clean it (alot of white spirit) & was in no way helpful to their reputation or work ... but i hear it was very funny at the time!

im waiting (still waiting) to see the The Bruno Movie by the fantastic Sacha Baron Cohen.
i know its probably not everyones taste but i think Sacha Baron Cohen is hilarious.
i didnt see "Borat" in the cinema because i wasnt really that intrested but when i did finally watch it (on DVD) i couldnt belive what i was seeing & i just couldnt stop laughing.
so this time around i definitely want to see "Bruno" on the big screen.

the first time i watched a video of "Jackie & Debra" i was justing sitting at my computer like ... riiiiiiiiiight!?!
but the more i watched the more it made me laugh. his stuff really grew on me.
